| The Ogbuagu royal family would do anything to retain the crown forever, and the price of this is a monthly human sacrifice to the gods of Onwa. Onwa forbids the royal family from embracing Christianity and marrying non-native. The Crown Prince dared the gods, as he became born again and married Priya, a non-native. “Those who dared the gods do not live to complete their adventure” and “the wings of the gods cannot fly beyond their kingdom”. The battle line is drawn. The Crown Prince must not be allowed to father a child from Priye. Onwa collected his sperm and rendered him impotent, but Priye got pregnant. She is carrying an anointed child whose birth will destroy Onwa and its worshippers. The gods want her and the unborn baby dead. |
